Documentation and i18n with Sphinx

Giacomo "Jack" Spettoli
Hi all,
I was searching for a way to maintain a multilanguage version of
some documentation and I found out that Sphinx (starting from version
1.1) does support multilanguage using gettext.

Take a look here: http://sphinx.pocoo.org/latest/intl.html

I didn't know this feature and I think that is really really wonderful.

We could finally translate the plone developer manual (or any other
plone doc) and most important we could maintain it syncronized between
languages.

I am more than aware that this would be a huuuuuuuuge work (for the pdm
there would be ~8.4k translation strings)...but I think that this would
be also a great deal for Plone...maybe the greater for the sake of
diffusion. :)

What do you think?

Hi Giacomo,

This is indeed great Sphinx support this. What a cool feature!
Thanks you for your recent work of converting Dexterity documentation to Sphinx.
Please continue your good work. ;)

Plone French community maintain on svn collective a French documentation we use for trainings.
If somebody want to translate it into another language from French... :)
