Hi there,
I'm interested in creating a Khmer version of Plone but would like to get an idea of the translation work required.
I understand it would involve providing translations for these nine files:
Based on files required for French translation (
https://svn.plone.org/svn/collective/PloneTranslations/trunk/locales/fr/LC_MESSAGES/ )
> plone.po has more than 10,000 lines (French po files)
> linguaplone.po - 205 lines
> plonefrontpage.po - 300 lines
> plonelocales - 288 lines
> cmfplacefulworkflow.po - 258
> cmfeditions.po - 367
> atcontenttypes.po - 927
> atreferencebrowserwidget.po - 72
> passwordresettool.po -181
Quite a considerable task, especially for the plone.po.
Probably hoping too much, but is there a minimum set of files/terms that I could get away with - for example just for unauthenticated (anonymous) viewers; the content visible to content managers being in English...
Secondly, having obtained the translations, how much work is involved in actually integrating the new language into Plone?
Many thanks!
Cheers,
Richard
